Humanistic Horsemanship is the school of training created by Kelli Ann Little. It is based in psychology and takes its roots in Carl Rogers’ person-centered theory of therapy, which teaches counsellors that the only materials they need to facilitate change and healing are empathy, positive regard and time. In training horses, too, this is all you need to facilitate change and development in a horse: empathy, positive regard and time.

All you need to do is watch him, listen to him, and earn his absolute trust in you as his friend and leader. You don't need any fancy methods or training tools for that...you only need communication. Humanistic Horsemanship teaches that communication.

Good morning everyone! I am very excited
